Easy setup, quick results, I like it!
Requires 4 AAA batteries. The initial setup and mobile pairing is easy. I set it up on the mobile app with my data and my husband’s, and it was very self explanatory. After setting it up, you just step on the scale, and it reads out weight, body fat %, skeletal muscle %, visceral fat, BMI, and resting metabolism.I had a similar scale before (but broke down so had to get a new one), and the reading of my body fat % and muscle % were significantly lower comparing to this Omron scale, so I don’t know how accurate Omron’s readings are. Then again, these scales are just for reference; for more accuracy, it is better to go to the professional scales/machines. I only use it as a home scale for reference and to keep track of my body weight. The mobile app is a bit slow to sync, which I later got lazy to use.Overall, I am satisfied with it.

Works amazing with Samsung Health!!!
Got this scale to try and have better accounting of my wellness journey. I had a different brand that, although worked fine if it was just me, it wouldn’t work for my husband, which caused him frustration with trying to complete the same goal. That brand would use Health Connect to have their app talk to Samsung Health, and it would send the information over…….. eventually, which neither of us liked. We needed something that would send the information as if it was being done directly through the Samsung Health app.I actually stumbled upon this scale when I was looking at one of Omron’s wireless BP monitors, I decided to download the app first and see how they share the information, boom, direct link, I was excited at that point. Went ahead and purchased the scale, got it all set up and Bluetooth connected, stepped on the scale when turned off, beeped at me when it was done, gave me the go ahead to press the SET button, boom, information transmitted to the Omron app that immediately sent to the Samsung Health app, I’m so freaking happy 😁 Got hubby get set up as well, he’s happy with it so far ❤️This scale can also link to Google Fit, which is kinda funny since we both have Google phones but we both have Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra and Samsung Smart Ring, so we just go ahead and use the Samsung Health app instead. This is going to be super helpful in order to record and track our weight and stuff as we work on trying to better our health, Omron has been around for quite a while and I knew they have good BP monitors so I’m certain this scale is gonna be great 👍🏻

Good Product, Decent Value
I started using this in JAN 2024 (this review is 28 DEC 2024), and I do not have any significant issues with it. On a few occasions, it has stopped pairing with my cell, and you must go through the process again. In the same purchase, I also bought an Omron Gold Blood Pressure Cuff and it has not experienced the pairing issue. User’s Manual does not explain much, but Tech Support is more than willing to assist, and they do a great job. I believe it is a Good Product with Decent Value.Semper Fi

OMRON BCM 500 for reliable body data.
When COVID-19 broke out I needed a sturdy and reliable kind of monitor that would help me watch critical health data. I bought an OMRON BCM-500 from Amazon. The instructions are easy to follow and use, it’s durable cost nothing to maintain since June 2020. I am 85 years old and take readings twice a month.

Didn’t Work Right so I Returned it
Since the scales I received wasn’t working right and was very erratic. I can’t really evaluate performance. However, one thing I did notice was that it doesn’t measure water % like most other body comp scales. After you get on the scales, it eventually cycles through the different measures but they are a bit hard to read and aren’t lit up much, so I found that very unsatisfactory.Another negative is the Omron app, which doesn’t seem very complete compared to other apps and it was a real pain to set it up. I was surprised at the poor app performance because I also have an Omron blood pressure monitor and it works great on the same app. It’s almost like the scales part of the app was an afterthought, definitely incomplete in what it shows (not all the measures from the scales) and overall the app part is just not well designed…it almost seems unfinished.I returned the scales and bought a very similar scales for about half the price from another well known manufacturer and it works beautifully plus after weighing all the measurements stay on the screen so you can see them all at once. Also the other app seems quite good and sets up almost instantly, unlike the Omron app. So while the scales I received were erratic and not working right, even if everything was working I’m not sure I would recommend it.

Good Scale
Provides a bunch of info although not sure on the accuracy. Works with the same app as for their blood pressure products.

Could be better
I had high hopes for this scale. I bought it because I thought that my cheap scale was not very accurate and I wanted a more accurate scale. I don’t understand why when I take my weight, and then sync it with the app, the app always shows that I weigh about 0.2-0.4 lbs more. That just seems ridiculous that the numbers don’t sync properly. My body fat seems to change from 39%-19% in the span of a few days. There’s no way I could lose 20% body fat that quickly unless I got lipo. I wish! Skeletal muscle also changes every day by 6%. The mobile app is also really annoying in that it won’t sync with another Omron product, the blood pressure monitor. I called Omron and they said that my scale was made for the US market, but the blood pressure monitor was made for the European market, so they won’t work on the same app. They’re all the same company. Just like an Apple iPhone purchased in the US works in Europe, I don’t understand why they treat their products by region. That’s a bad image for an international company. I bought both products from Amazon – one from US and the other from Amazon UK. The only reason I bought the blood pressure monitor from Amazon UK was that they were all sold out on the US page. Lots of room for improvement. Hopefully Omron can get some smart people to work on their app and fix all the bugs and make ALL of their products work with the app.

The Omron app does not work on this device for Singapore consumers.

This model doesn’t appear to be compatible with the app.

Fantastic. Warning to Android users, the Omcron Connect app will really impact your battery in its default installation unless you go into your Android application settings and restrict the app’s battery optimization. It does mean that you have to sync manually but that’s the trade-off to having better battery life. Without battery optimization the app represented 50% of my phone battery usage by the end of the day. If you can accept that small trade-off in convenience it’s a dream to use.

Received this product from Amazon USA and after putting in the batteries, I tried to turn ON it’s Bluetooth to connect it with Omron application in my iPhone 12 but after 40 minutes of struggle I couldn’t connect with my phone. My objective of buying this product was to connect the weighing scale with my mobile which is a huge disappointment.

Las mediciones son cuasi exactas pero son fiables, lo único es que si vives fuera de EU necesitas una cuenta en la App Store de EU para bajar la app compatible, fuera de eso es una chulada
