This review is for the Eat Smart Precision 550 Pound Extra-High Capacity Digital Bathroom Scale.Oh my gosh, don’t even waste your time looking anywhere else. I bought this in May 2024 for $41 and I am thrilled with it. It was very easy to set up.I weigh around 280 lbs. I’m tired of getting on scales and leaning forward to see the results over my boobs and then my heels come up and the weight changes. Aaargh! This scale is a great size so both of your feet easily fit on the platform. Once it detects your weight, it beeps and the weight lights up and stays there long enough for you to see.No tapping on the scale. You walk up and step on the scale and wait for the beep. It’s very accurate (compared to a couple doctor’s offices). The lit up numbers are large and very easy to see.Before it arrived I worried it might be too big to fit, but it’s only a couple inches larger than standard scales. No big deal. I got the silver; it looks so nice and it’s surprisingly easy to keep clean.My husband loves it, too. I highly recommend this to everyone.

I am nowhere near the maximum weight for this scale but wanted one with a larger platform since I am a senior and unsteady on my feet. I didn’t feel secure on my old scale since it had a plastic base and was lightweight so when stepping up onto it sometimes would tip until both feet were in place, plus the display didn’t light up anymore even with new batteries. I have never heard of this brand and was skeptical on the reliability but didn’t want a glass top scale due to safety risks. When I saw this scale I was pleased with the reviews I read, so I decided to give it a try. It was delivered the same day I ordered it…BIG perk for me. It was easy to set up as it was already calibrated to “lbs” instead of “kg” from factory. I inserted the batteries (yes, found taped to the box), tapped to calibrate, and it was ready to use within minutes. It was within a pound of my old scale reading so I found a good starting point to continue with my weight loss program. I have not found any option for downloading an APP nor do I wish to have one. Also, after stepping on the scale and the final weight reading is displayed, it flashes 3 times but never does beep. If that means my scale is defective, I certainly don’t miss the beeping and will continue with it as it is. I basically wanted an affordable digital readout scale with a backlight and a larger platform (not glass) that is both sturdy and aesthetically designed to be left out in the room, and this scale fits my list. I highly recommend.

Good Quality Scale
I purchased this scale in February 2024 and am still using it nearly 2 years later. It has been very consistent for me and seems to be pretty accurate when compared to the scale at my doctor’s office. I’ve had times when I have moved it around, stored it in a cupboard, etc, but when I pull it back out, it still seems to work like a charm. Definitely worth the money.

A big size (for a medium-sized person) makes it easier to operate this system.The print is readable, beeps and stays for 20 seconds.My first test, 20 minutes apart, exact same reading- a good sign.While I wish this was not made in China, it does have a 2 year warranty, which means it’s not built to be junk.Three AAA batteries to operate; wish that was 1 lithium that lasted for 6 years though. Batteries technology is so outdated!

Best Scale I’ve Owned
I really love this scale. I have had ones in the past that have been rated for heavier weights that have fallen short of the mark. With being a bit larger and having numerous health conditions, I am required to keep track of my weight. This scale has been perfect. It has a nice wide platform to be able to stand on it comfortably and it’s not like other scales where you had to get on and off a few times to get the correct weight reading… You get on and stand still and it will beep when done. And its the same exact reading if you weigh yourself twice, no second guessing what the correct weight is. This scale is on point each time and I’m so very glad that I bought it.

This scale seems well built and measures weight quite consistently if it remains in the position at which it was last calibrated. I haven’t yet been able to compare it with my doctor’s scale for accuracy, but it appears to be about right. Carrying 16 pounds of dumbbells onto the scale adds exactly 16 pounds to my weight.Calibration is easy and can be done any time to ensure better accuracy but is not necessary every time.The manufacturer recommends not using it or storing it in a place with high humidity. However, it is marketed as a bathroom scale — bathrooms are humid. I have it located quite close to the shower in our master bathroom that has tile floors. It gets water splashed on it when anyone showers and sometimes when they just dry their hands on the nearby towel. So far, no problems with the humidty.The scale is a good size and works well even for very large people and for people with big feet. Some have complained about the beeping sound it makes each time one steps on it. It’s a little bit loud but I do not find it annoying.To switch between pounds and kilograms, on must reach under the scale and press a button of sorts, and, because the scale must be lifted to do that, it also must be re calibrated, which is somewhat inconvenient. I would prefer the button be on the front of the scale.

The scales are large and sturdy. The readings are consistent and accurate. Disappointed that there wasn’t a choice of colours as the scales are a little dark and don’t blend in my bathroom. Also I was hoping for an option in weighing in stones as well as kg and llbs but sadly not.
